Extended Project Support

As a Russell Group research intensive university, the University of Southampton has a special interest in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), and students who are inquisitive and ask pertinent questions. The Learn with US programme supports schools and colleges in the delivery of the EPQ by providing a gateway to a variety of reliable and academically sound sources.

The University of Southampton guide to research has been composed by the University’s academic librarians and is a gateway to resources listed by academic subject. It is freely available to schools and colleges, supervisors and students alike, who are working on the EPQ.

The guide to research can be supplemented by the academic skills workshops, which can be arranged for delivery on our campus or at your own institution.

In addition, the University of Southampton will provide groups of students working on the EPQ with the opportunity to visit the University to use its libraries, journals and databases as part of a wider customised itinerary. Due to the requirements of our own undergraduates, we are primarily only able to extend this offer to the post-examination weeks of June and July.

These three elements enable students and staff to work on the EPQ in partnership with the University.
